An associate at Levy Konigsberg, LLP, Michael J. DeRienzo focuses on whistleblower matters brought under the False Claims Act, SEC Whistleblower Program, IRS Whistleblower Program, and State Whistleblower Provisions.
Prior to joining Levy Konigsberg, LLP, Michael was an associate at a boutique whistleblower firm in New York City where he successfully second-seated an arbitration that resulted in a favorable settlement for his whistleblower client. During law school, Michael clerked for a whistleblower protection advocacy organization and a whistleblower protection firm.
Michael received his law degree from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Michael was asked to consult with multiple attorney professional associations including the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice regarding their national law student presence. In 2013, Michael was nominated to the American Health Lawyers Association’s Council as the inaugural law student representative. He graduated cum laude from Bentley University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
Michael is licensed to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern District of New York.
