Shaunna’s pursuit of justice began in 2018 when she worked as a prosecutor for the Nassau County DA’s Office. It was there that she developed a keen passion for victim advocacy and relished the opportunity to connect with and fight for individuals in need of a voice.

Shaunna joined Levy Konigsberg in 2021 and brought along that same passion with significant trial experience and enthusiasm to continue her legal advocacy. She specializes in representing adults who were sexually abused as children, with a strong emphasis on abuse that occurred in schools and foster care. Shaunna works with a dedicated team of attorneys and staff and is eager to collaborate to give her clients the holistic representation they deserve.

“I’ve represented hundreds of victims and they all just want to be heard and fought for. I’ve learned that my job as an attorney is so much more than litigating a case to resolution. I strive to develop trust with my clients. I want them to know that I will work as hard as possible to advocate for the justice they’ve been waiting over half their lifetime for. I want them to know their story matters.”

Shaunna works on several matters involving serial abusers in the foster care system at New York State facilities where the abuse spans over twenty years. Her advocacy ranges from strategic depositions of perpetrators to arguing in the Appellate Division Second Department. She has experienced great success finding and deposing non-party witnesses whose involvement and testimony greatly contributed to the outcome of the case.

“I’m so grateful to be surrounded by lawyers at Levy Konigsberg with tenacity and skill. Every day is a learning experience. I have grown as an attorney and appreciate the constant opportunities to listen, observe, and adapt. We all care about the work we’re doing.”

When she’s not working, Shaunna loves spending time with her husband Angel and their dog Tompkins. She enjoys exploring New York City to try new coffee shops and restaurants and visits her family in Florida as much as she can.
