Jennifer is a survivor of prison sexual abuse, a trauma that no person should ever have to endure. Unfortunately, Jennifer's experience is not unique and many women in the United States face similar situations every day. However, it's important to know that there is hope and help available for victims like Jennifer.
Jennifer is now a client of Levy Konigsberg, a law firm that is dedicated to fighting for the rights of women who have been sexually abused in New York prisons. The firm's mission is to provide support and resources for survivors and to bring those responsible for these horrific acts to justice.
Levy Konigsberg has a proven track record of successfully litigating cases on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse and is committed to giving a voice to those who have been silenced. The firm works tirelessly to ensure that their clients receive the compensation and justice they deserve, and they are dedicated to advocating for change in the criminal justice system to prevent further abuse from occurring.
If you have been abused while incarcerated in New York then please contact our firm to discuss your case with a member of our legal team who is ready to listen. We’re here to hold those accountable and make sure your voice is heard.
It's important for women who have been sexually abused to speak out and come forward. By doing so, they can get the support and resources they need to heal and move forward with their lives. This is especially important for those who have been affected by sexual abuse in prisons, where they are often unable to get the help they need.
We encourage all survivors of sexual abuse to reach out to organizations like Imani’s Safehouse, which provides support and resources to survivors of sexual violence. With the right support and resources, survivors can overcome their trauma and begin the journey toward healing and recovery.
Remember, you are not alone and there are others who are willing and able to help you. If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual abuse, don't be afraid to speak out and come forward. Together, we can work towards creating a safer and more just world for all women.
The Adult Survivors Act was signed in May 2022 and is now in effect. And while it is an incredible victory for sexual abuse survivors, the law only creates a one-year window for victims to file lawsuits. Per the ASA, this window began on November 24, 2022, and ends on November 24, 2023.
Given that the lookback window is temporary, survivors with potential claims should take immediate steps to speak with an attorney about their rights and options.
Our attorneys have decades of experience litigating high-stakes sex abuse claims for clients across the country. We know these are tough and emotionally turbulent cases and we are committed to providing the caring representation victims need to pursue the financial recovery they deserve.
