Bio

As an Associate at Levy Konigsberg, LLP, Cassie represents individuals diagnosed with mesothelioma and lung cancer in their fight to hold the asbestos and cosmetic talc industries accountable for their injuries.

Cassie has earned a reputation as an aggressive litigator and a skilled trial attorney. She advocates for victims at all stages of litigation, from investigations through depositions, motion practice, trial and appeals.

Before joining Levy Konigsberg LLP, Cassie had already picked more than 20 juries and taken 10 jury verdicts as lead counsel. Her verdicts have been reported in newspapers, including in the Verdicts and Settlements section of the New York Law Journal.

Cassie is also an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Fordham University School of Law where she teaches law students the fundamentals of trial work and prepares them to compete in trial competitions across the United States. In 2019, Cassie was the first trial advocacy professor in Fordham Law history to be nominated for the school’s Adjunct Professor of the Year award.

Prior to joining Levy Konigsberg LLP, Cassie was an associate at a Plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Manhattan where she handled complex, multi-million-dollar personal injury cases from investigation through trial. Her work there encompassed many areas of personal injury litigation including, but not limited to, wrongful death, medical malpractice, labor law, negligent design, defamation, civil rights violations, premises liability, municipal liability, and catastrophic motor vehicle collisions.

Cassie also spent many years as a trial attorney for the City of New York where she honed her litigation and trial skills as lead counsel on some of the City’s most complex and difficult trials. In 2016, Cassie received the Division Chief Award for exemplary legal performance on behalf of the City of New York.

Cassie received her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law where she was a board member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center, the Domestic Violence Action Center, and the Fordham International Law Journal where she was an Associate Editor. While in law school, Cassie was the recipient of Fordham’s Public Interest Resource Center Student Leadership Award as well as the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award which is given to law students who complete more than 1,000 hours of pro bono work.

Law school is where Cassie developed her passion for litigation and trials. Just months into her first year of law school, Cassie made her first court appearance, representing a survivor of domestic violence in New York City Family Court as part of the Courtroom Advocates Project. She spent the next two years training other law students to do the same. While in law school, Cassie also competed in trial advocacy competitions across the country, including winning the award for Best Cross-Examination at the inaugural Florida State University Mock Trial Competition in Tallahassee, Florida.

Cassie is admitted to practice law in New York and is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA). In 2021, Cassie was named to the New York Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars list by Thomson Reuters.

Cassie has lived in New York her entire life and currently resides in Queens with her dog Reese, a Mini Australian Shephard. She is a lifelong fan of standup comedy and enjoys antiquing and collecting art.
