Elizabeth (Liz) Burns is an associate at Levy Konigsberg, where she advocates for survivors of sexual abuse.

Liz received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. There, she was an Editorial Board Member for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and competed as a member of the Moot Court team.

Liz has seen sexual abuse litigation from all sides. Before joining Levy Konigsberg, Liz worked at the Anchorage District Attorney’s office as a student. She was placed in the sex abuse unit, where she primarily handled cases involving domestic abuse and child victims. She also gained experience in criminal defense at Garland, Samuel, & Loeb in Atlanta, Georgia.

Liz’s background in prosecution, defense, and now as an advocate for survivors in civil litigation gives her a nuanced view of the unique needs of every case she works on. Her admission to the bar is pending.
