Shaunna Lazzaro is an associate at Levy Konigsberg, LLP where she specializes in representing victims of sexual and physical abuse, with a strong emphasis on individuals abused in the foster care and school system. Shaunna’s practice concentrates on litigating claims brought under the Child Victims Act in New York State.

Prior to joining Levy Konigsberg, Shaunna served as a prosecutor at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted a wide variety of cases including assault, child endangerment, and driving while intoxicated charges. While at the DA’s Office, Shaunna litigated numerous bench and jury trials to a successful guilty verdict. Shaunna also drafted hundreds of search warrants on prominent homicide and rape cases to enable a constitutional means to apprehend perpetrators of crimes and secure valuable evidence.

Shaunna’s legal career has always focused on protecting victims and advocating for their rights. Her extensive experience interviewing victims of crimes allows her to bring an investigative and empathetic approach to the pursuit of justice for victims of sexual abuse.

Shaunna received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where she served as secretary and events coordinator for the Student Bar Association. Shaunna also spent three years as a trial advocate for the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center where she competed in several mock trial competitions, ranking as a finalist at Florida State University’s National Civil Mock Trial Competition. Shaunna also received her B.A. from Fordham College at Lincoln Center where she served as president of the Pre-Law Society and spent a summer working on a campaign for the New York City Mayoral Election.

Shaunna is admitted to practice in New York. In her free time, Shaunna enjoys exploring new restaurants in her neighborhood with her husband and their dog, Tompkins.
