It is important for all women who were sexually abused in New York prisons and jails to know their rights under the Adult Survivors Act to seek justice and file a claim. Please help us spread the word to women who was sexually abused in any New York prison or jail. Time is limited and we don’t want any victim to be left behind.
File Deadline November 23, 2023
The deadline for filing a claim is approaching fast, with less than six months remaining. The one-year lookback window, which allows survivors to come forward, will close on November 23, 2023. When this window closes, most women will NOT be able to file a legal claim. You can help make sure that women who were violated by prison guards and staff are able to file a claim before the deadline passes.
